Oklahoma Proven Plants

Oklahoma Proven is a plant evaluation and marketing program designed to help consumers select the best plants for Oklahoma gardens. The goal has been to select plants that are tolerant of the conditions found throughout Oklahoma. Using well-adapted plants should lead to greater gardening success and more environmentally-friendly gardens.

Annuals

Annuals are flowers and foliage that complete their entire life cycle within a single growing season.

Perennials

Perennials are plants that live for more than two years, returning annually.

PCMGs Recommend:

The Payne County Master Gardeners have many tried-and-true products, equipment, and techniques that will help you level up in the garden!

Gardening Sleeves

These sleeves are awesome!  Of course I love the sun protection, bug protection, but also just saving my arms from all the nicks and scratches of gardening.

Seed Packet Storage

My preferred method of seed package storage involve a simple photo storage box (found at most craft or container stores) which conveniently stores 16 smaller, seed-packet-sized boxes within one easy-to-carry case.

Hori Hori Knife

This useful Japanese gardening tool is ideal for digging, cutting roots, planting bulbs, and weeding.  A great addition to any gardener's tool box!
